Greening the Treasure Island WineFest

Lodi Wine Country not only focuses on sustainability in our vineyards and wineries, but we understand the importance of greener practices in all we do.  The beauty of Treasure Island and the surrounding Bay encourages us to protect our environment for future generations through sustainable practices.

Sustainability at the Treasure Island WineFest:

•    Partnering with San Francisco Conservation Corps to eliminate the amount of waste at the event, by providing recycling and compost bins.

•    All plates, cups and utensils provided at the event are 100% biodegradable, and will be collected along with food scraps to be composted.

•    The Treasure Island WineFest is a plastic water bottle free event, with water provided at the event for guests.

•    Post-Consumer recycled paper is used for all promotional materials.

•    Utilizing new technologies to reduce paper printing and waste by encouraging e-mail correspondence, using web based promotions, and providing our trade and media guests with event information on reusable flash drives.

•    Bio-plastics table coverings will be replaced by reusable linens.

•    Serving a selection of Lodi Rules certified sustainable wines.

You can practice sustainability by carpooling with friends or taking Public Transportation to the Treasure Island WineFest.
